PLOT: With a pilot shot for UPN in 2004, "Nikki and Nora" is the lesbian cop show that never was. Unfortunately, it was never picked up by the network, but the pilot has made its way into the hands of the lucky few. Nora Delaney (Christina Cox) and Nikki Beaumont (Liz Vassey) are partners in the New Orleans police department, but they are also lovers. Nikki is from old money, while Nora comes from a working class family. Nora doesn't feel as if she can be out at work or with her family, while Nikki pressures her to let both know they are a couple.
